Antigua & Lake Atitlán
Volcanic views & colonial nightsDay 1: Arrival in Antigua
Arrive in Guatemala City and transfer to Antigua, where Porta Hotel’s garden courtyards and arched corridors offer timeless elegance. That evening, a private candlelit dinner marks the beginning of your journey: romance glowing under vaulted ceilings and volcano skies.
Day 2: Into the Fire
Hike the slopes of Pacaya Volcano on a guided adventure through black lava fields and steaming vents. Return to Antigua in time to unwind poolside, Agua Volcano rising quietly in the distance.
Day 3: Skybound to Semuc Champey
Take flight on a private helicopter journey to Semuc Champey. Hover above jade-green jungle and descend to walk among cascading turquoise pools. Back in Antigua, the day lingers like a dream.
Day 4: A City to Drift Through
Spend the day at your own pace. Sip rooftop cocktails, browse artisan markets, or simply lounge in your hotel’s courtyard, where time slows and the city hums with soft energy.
In the shadow of giantsDay 5: Summit Glow
Begin your private overnight trek up Acatenango. Climb through cloud forests and into the alpine hush. As night falls, dine by lantern light with Fuego Volcano erupting in the distance—a fiery spectacle shared from the summit.
Day 6: Descent & Departure to the Lake
Wake to golden views above the clouds. After breakfast on the mountain, descend and continue to Lake Atitlán. Check into Hotel Atitlán, where your suite overlooks the still waters and volcanic silhouettes of the lake.
A shimmering stillnessDay 7: Drift Across the Water
Glide across Lake Atitlán by kayak, led by your private guide. Paddle past quiet villages and misty peaks, pausing for a lakeside picnic. Return to your hotel for a candlelit dinner as stars rise overhead.
Day 8: Time to Savor
Your final full day invites you to slow down. Stroll garden paths, shop for handwoven textiles, or simply sip cocktails on the terrace, soaking in the serenity of the lake and each other.
Day 9: Departure
Your private driver escorts you to Guatemala City for your flight home. You leave with the glow of volcanoes, jungle memories, and a love deepened by adventure.
Tucked just beyond the cobblestone bustle of central Antigua, Porta Hotel offers a peaceful retreat wrapped in colonial charm. With wood-beamed ceilings, garden courtyards, and a tranquil pool, it’s a place where elegance meets ease. After volcano hikes or market wanderings, return to crackling fireplaces and quiet corners—perfect for resting and reconnecting.
Cradled between Lake Atitlán and surrounding volcanoes, this lush retreat is a feast for the senses. Stroll through botanical gardens, sip coffee on your terrace with sweeping lake views, and let kids roam freely in the expansive outdoor spaces. With hand-carved furniture and a laid-back elegance, Hotel Atitlán invites families to slow down and soak in the magic of the highlands.
